Intention The D+R journal's basic premise is that research in industrial design and multimedia communication can be defined and developed in its own terms. The journal task is to provide a platform to disseminate advanced research, theory and analysis in design fields and to increase networking aiming at a larger international focus and increasing dialogue with the international community. The journal is peer-reviewed, it has two guest editors for each issue and it is published twice a year. Each issue is dedicated to a specific theme. Welcome. The editors
