José Carlos Teixeira Ph.D. Student - Illinois Institute of Technology The unexplored capabilities of design knowledge: identifying possibilities of how design knowledge can contribute to organizational knowledge The goal of this study is to identify opportunities in which design knowledge can contribute to organizational knowledge. The study provides a definition of design knowledge, an analysis of how design knowledge contributes to the development of new products, and insights for a future research opportunity based on the identification of areas of organizational knowledge in which design knowledge contribution has been unexplored. The research opportunity highlights the possibility of exploring mechanisms in which design knowledge's unique expertise in understanding user values and behavior can be embedded in organizational knowledge to identify new business opportunities. ← back | download 24 Kb pg208.zip
