Peter Schachinger Mechanical and Vehicular Engineering/Industrial Design Engineering Using Virtual Reality Techniques in Industrial Design In this article, it is argued that Virtual Reality (VR) techniques might support industrial design and engineering design activities. A description of industrial design work is given in the beginning of this article. Furthermore, design theory related to product properties and product models is investigated and a “property icon” is created. The term “Virtual Reality” is defined and techniques for Virtual Reality are presented.
